At The McNair Partnership we offer a range of services to candidates seeking to improve competitive advantage in the jobs market. A selection of the tailored services we provide are shown below.

CV Writing
We believe that having your CV written by a qualified professional is an extremely valuable and positive step towards achieving your goals and securing the perfect job. Having a well-presented and powerfully written CV gives you an undeniable and significant advantage over other job applicants.

It can sometimes be difficult to be objective when trying to present ourselves in the best light. A good CV writer will take an individualised approach; working with you to uncover talents, skills and competencies that you may not even be aware you possess. They will take the time to make certain the resume is an accurate depiction of you and one which you can feel entirely comfortable with and can speak to.

According to research by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), employers receive an average of 60 applicants for every advertisement for a low-skilled job, and 20 for every skilled job. Significantly, almost half of these candidates are perfectly suitable for the role, so that makes their CV all the more important when attempting to stand out from the crowd.

Interview Coaching
Too many people let themselves down – their interview preparation is ineffective and they fail to make an impact. You need to have an effective interview technique and perform relevant and targeted preparation. Interview coaching with an experienced interviewer will increase your chance of success.

We offer a one to one coaching service which is designed to help interviewees to perform better in the interview by focusing on how to behave and present oneself. There are two parts in the coaching process. The first part is focused on improving aspects of the interview that are not necessarily related to the specific elements of performing the job tasks but moreover include elements concerning nonverbal behaviours, verbal cues and impression management tactics.

The second part is designed to focus interviewees on the content specifically relevant to describing one’s qualifications for the job, in order to help improve their answers to interview questions. This coaching, therefore, focuses on improving the interviewee’s understanding of the skills, abilities, and traits the interviewer is attempting to assess, and guides them to respond with relevant experience that demonstrates these skills.
