Stewart’s background is in the Financial Services industry where he was a corporate and private banker for over 24 years. He began his career with NatWest Bank in the City of London and in 1978 relocated to Dubai with his family to join Khalij Commercial Bank as Head of Trade Finance and Business Development. He later moved to Bahrain with Chase Manhattan Bank as Regional Manager of Private Banking for MENA and then to BNP as Head of Private Banking and Wealth Management for MENA and Western Asia. Latterly he was with Merrill Lynch in Bahrain as Head of Private Banking Middle East.
Stewart moved back to the UK in 1994 to set up The McNair Partnership leveraging his network of clients and talent across the Middle East. He has steadily grown the business to provide a diversified Financial Services practice across EMEA and the Sub Continent. In 2005 he launched The McNair Partnership Middle East Ltd, a sister company to The McNair Partnership Ltd., which opened up under the jurisdiction of the DIFC and further enhanced the Group’s coverage of the MENA markets.
In 2009, the Group entered the Energy sector as described elsewhere in our website.

Stewart is actively involved in the business and with all high level searches as well as business development across the EMEA and MENA regions.
